Fun Facts
In the United States, St. Patrick’s Day celebrates Irish heritage and St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. While it began as a religious feast day in Ireland, in the U.S. it has evolved into a broader celebration of Irish culture.
Common traditions include:
Wearing green
Parades and festivals
Irish music and dancing
Traditional foods like corned beef and cabbage
Bars and restaurants hosting themed celebrations
Cities such as Boston, Chicago, and New York host some of the largest parades in the world. Chicago is especially famous for dyeing the Chicago River green each year.
In hospitality and restaurants, it is typically one of the busiest celebration days of the year.

A few quick reminders as we start the week:
Managers should ensure opening procedures are completed each day, including checking bathrooms, lights, music, entryways, and that the outside grounds around the building are clean and presentable.
If any maintenance or repair work involves a cost, please do not schedule it before running it by Kristi or Chef Ken so it can be discussed and approved by Bill.
The Contact List and updated SOPs continue to be added to The Dash to make it a central hub for information across all locations.

The Contact List is now linked in the banner at the top of The Dash. It is still a work in progress, so please take a look and add anything you can. The goal is to create a shared resource for key contacts across all locations.
Updated SOPs are also being added and should all be loaded by the end of next week.
